Steven H. Gunn

Mr. Gunn maintains an “AV” rating with Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest rating awarded to attorneys for professional competence and ethics. He has also been voted by his peers throughout the state as one of Utah’s “Legal Elite” in the category of Family Law (as published in Utah Business Magazine).

He presently concentrates his practice in the areas of estate and trust, family law and real estate litigation; but over the course of the thirty-five years he has practiced law Mr. Gunn has handled many commercial litigation and bankruptcy cases. He is the past chairman of the Banking Law and Family Law Sections of the Utah State Bar and the present chair of the Trust and Estate Litigation Practice Group of Ray Quinney & Nebeker.

Mr. Gunn is a charter member of the Collaborative Family Lawyers of Utah. He subscribes to the view that in litigation involving spouses and family members a collaborative, rather than a purely adversarial, approach provides the best chance of preserving—or at least not completely destroying—important inter-personal relationships between ex-spouses or extended family members.
