Mark W. Pugsley to Serve as Third Division Commissioner of Utah State Bar

Mark W. Pugsley was elected April 15, 2018 by his peers to serve a three-year term as a Third Division Commissioner of the Utah State Bar, the body that represents Utah lawyers. Mr. Pugsley will be sworn in at the Utah Bar’s Summer Convention in Sun Valley this July. Mr. Pugsley will join twelve other lawyers and non-lawyers who lead Utah’s governing body for lawyers.

Mark Pugsley’s practice is focused on complex commercial litigation involving financial products and institutions. He has handled fraud and investment disputes for over twenty years, including civil litigation, FINRA arbitrations, whistleblower cases, Ponzi scheme cases, receivership litigation, and regulatory investigations. He is the chair of the Securities Litigation Group at Ray Quinney & Nebeker and holds active licenses to practice law in Utah and California.

The Utah Bar governs attorney licensing, discipline and admissions into the Bar. The Bar’s executive director and staff run the day-to-day operations of the Bar under the supervision of the Bar Commission.
