Attorneys S. Brandon Owen and Emily V. Smith Join RQ&N

S. Brandon Owen, Associate, joins RQ&N's Intellectual Property Section. His practice includes all facets of intellectual property law including litigation and the preparation and prosecution of patent, trademark, and copyright applications in the United States and foreign countries. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Owen served as a law clerk to the Honorable Randall R. Rader, Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and also practiced at a regional firm in Salt Lake City. Mr. Owen has been listed in Utah's Legal Elite and has been named a Rising Star in Mountain States Super Lawyers. He received his J.D. from Brigham Young University Law School in 2003.

Emily V. Smith, Associate, joins RQ&N's Litigation Section. Ms. Smith has experience in a variety of substantive areas including real estate, contract, unfair competition, intellectual property, banking, bankruptcy and employment disputes. She served as a clerk at the U.S. Department of Justice, Environmental & Natural Resources Division, and practiced as an associate at a regional firm before joining Ray Quinney & Nebeker. Ms. Smith received her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2004.
