Paul C. Burke Leads Successful Charge for SLC Sports Complex

Shareholder and RQN General Counsel Paul C. Burke led the campaign to persuade the Salt Lake City Council to authorize the issuance of $15.3 million in bonds to fund a new sports complex in Salt Lake City. Mr. Burke previously served a term as the volunteer president of the Utah Youth Soccer Association, and he also co-chaired the election campaign in 2003 in which voters approved the bonds. Mr. Burke presently serves at the Chairman of the Rules Committee for the United States Soccer Federation.

Mr. Burke addressed the Salt Lake City Council at hearing on both January 5, 2010 and January 12, 2010. The Council then voted unanimously to proceed with the project, which will be located at approximately 2200 North between I-215 and the Jordan River. Current plans call for the construction of 13 soccer fields and two baseball diamonds during the first phase of construction, which is expected to be completed in 2011. The project also calls for the extension of the Jordan River Trail and the preservation of a 23-acre buffer zone adjacent to the river.
