RQ&N Supports Access to Justice in Utah

May 15, 2010 - Ray Quinney & Nebeker attorneys and staff, and the Firm as a whole, show support for the provision of civil legal aid to disadvantaged individuals and families in Utah.

“Team Ray Quinney & Nebeker” – the Firm’s attorneys, staff, and their families – turned out in record-breaking numbers to participate in the 2010 Law Day 5K Run and support civil legal assistance to the less fortunate.

Utah’s annual Law Day 5K charity run is the primary fundraiser for "and Justice for all," the collaborative fundraising campaign which supports Utah’s non-profit providers of civil legal aid to disadvantaged Utahns, founded by the Disability Law Center, Legal Aid Society of Salt Lake, and Utah Legal Services. The 5K charity run is held in conjunction with Utah's Law Day activities – a special day focusing on our country’s heritage of liberty under law, a national day of celebration officially designated by joint resolution of Congress in 1961.

RQ&N won the Law Day Run Team Recruiting Competition, by registering 474 entrants for this year's Run. The Firm will be presented with an engraved trophy at the Utah State Bar's Annual Convention in Sun Valley, Idaho, in July.

In addition to supporting the Law Day Run fundraiser every year, Ray Quinney & Nebeker has consistently been major supporters of civil legal aid in Utah, by contributing both resources and time through volunteer leadership to the cause.
