Ray Quinney & Nebeker P.C. touts Utah’s most experienced and trusted Receivership Practice Group. Our attorneys bring decades of experience managing equity receiverships, acting as fiduciaries, managers and advisors in financial and operational crisis management, and working to protect corporate and asset value, as well as stakeholder interests, for distressed and insolvent businesses. We provide clients with highly experienced professionals who work to find cost-effective, workable solutions to complex problems faced by companies and to assist regulatory agencies.
Our attorneys have acted as court-appointed receivers and counsel to receivers in several of Utah’s largest financial fraud cases and consumer protection matters, returning tens of millions of dollars to defrauded investors and other victims of Ponzi schemes and other corporate wrongdoing.
The Receivership Practice Group also regularly represents commercial lenders who choose to protect their interests by pursuing receivership of a defaulting borrower, rather than bankruptcy or foreclosure. The group also acts as counsel to receivers.
The attorneys in our Receivership Practice Group are committed to the competent control and management of assets and will skillfully handle and supervise all aspects of a receivership, including accounting, asset management, valuation and liquidation.
In addition, our Receivership Practice Group represents individuals and companies to protect and preserve their interests in receivership matters, as well as parties being pursued in litigation by receivers. Our Receivership Practice Group also represents receivers, trustees and individuals in claims against those who bear legal responsibility for losses. These claims include matters in litigation, FINRA arbitrations, and other forms of dispute resolution.
The Receivership Practice Group is comprised of lawyers with a full-time focus on receivership law and receives support from other practitioners in the firm with specialized knowledge in areas such as bankruptcy, real estate, corporate and securities compliance and taxation. The Receivership Practice Group includes lawyers recognized as leaders in their field by Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America, Benchmark Litigation, Mountain States Super Lawyers, Martindale-Hubbell, and Utah’s “Legal Elite” (as published in Utah Business Magazine). Three members of the practice group are members of the National Association of Federal Equity Receivers, which was founded by the group’s chair.
