Lydia Rytting is an associate in the Firm’s Intellectual Property and Litigation Sections. She represents clients in filing and defending lawsuits involving trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets, and in opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial & Appeal Board. She files and prosecutes trademark applications and advises clients on brand management, protection, enforcement, and infringement allegations. Ms. Rytting also works in all aspects of commercial litigation, including contract disputes, business torts, and other complex commercial claims.
Ms. Rytting graduated from the University of Utah. S.J. Quinney College of Law, where she served as articles editor of the Utah Law Review and was a Quinney Research Fellow. She received the CALI award in Torts, and the Outstanding Achievement Award in Business Organizations, Family Law, and Evidence. She is currently active in the Utah State Bar, the Women Lawyers of Utah, and the LGBT & Allied Lawyers of Utah.
Prior to law school, Ms. Rytting worked in retail management and received her bachelor’s degree in art history from the University of Utah. Ms. Rytting is the proud mother of three amazing kids and the fun aunt to an incredible nephew – “the best kids to walk the face of the earth.” Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading murder mysteries, playing tennis, and baking focaccia bread.
