RQN congratulates Stephen C. Tingey for being recognized as the “2022 Attorney of the Year” by the Banking and Finance Section for the Utah State Bar. “Steve is very deserving of this recognition from the Utah State Bar,” explained Mike Mayfield, Chair of the Banking and Finance Section at RQN. “He is one of the preeminent banking lawyers in the region and is known for being a true gentleman in our legal community. Many lawyers, myself included, consider Steve to be their mentor. His encyclopedic knowledge of banking law is really remarkable.”
Mr. Tingey practices in the areas of banking, financial institutions, creditor representation, equipment leasing, and commercial litigation. For over 38 years, he has represented traditional and non-traditional commercial, consumer, and real estate lenders. That representation includes loan documentation, loan workout, foreclosure, litigation to enforce creditor rights, and litigation defending creditors.
Mr. Tingey formally accepted these awards at the Banking Section’s annual meeting on October 6, 2022, held at the Utah State Bar.
