Nicholas S. Hagen practices as of counsel in the Firm’s Bankruptcy and Creditor’s Rights section. His practice is concentrated in bankruptcy, corporate reorganizations, creditor’s rights, and related litigation. Prior to joining the Firm, Nick practiced for over six years at an international law firm in New York City, where he represented public and private companies and trustees in high-profile chapter 11 cases, cross-border restructurings, corporate reorganizations, bond offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and other liability management transactions.
Nick earned his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was an executive editor of the Virginia Tax Review, the treasurer of the Virginia Sports Law Society, and a co-captain of the school’s surprisingly serious softball team.
Outside the office, Nick spends time with his family, writes about politics and hosts a related podcast, plays the piano, and plays softball and golf.
