Elaine Monson served as a shareholder from 1989 to 2019 and has recently transitioned to “of counsel” at the Firm. As a member of the Firm’s Litigation, Banking and Bankruptcy sections, her practice primarily focuses on commercial litigation, creditor’s rights in bankruptcy and liquidations.
Ms. Monson has represented several national, regional and local banks in commercial litigation and workout matters. Ms. Monson has also assisted clients in several large Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, including C.W. Mining, USA Commercial Mortgage, CF&I Fabricators, and Geneva Steel. Ms. Monson also served as counsel to the liquidator of one of the largest insurance company liquidation cases filed in the United States. Ms. Monson has also been counsel to creditors in several large receivership proceedings.
