Austin Nate’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation. He routinely litigates matters involving contract disputes, employment disputes, creditor rights, and intellectual property.
Prior to joining the firm, Austin clerked for the Honorable William T. Thurman of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Utah and the Honorable Dale A. Kimball of the United States District Court for the District of Utah.
Austin is a graduate of Brigham Young University, J. Reuben Clark Law School, where he was a lead articles editor of the BYU Law Review. During law school, he was a legal research and writing teaching assistant to Professor Kristin Gerdy and a Legal Intern at Nutraceutical Corporation and Intermountain Healthcare.
Before attending law school, Austin received his bachelor’s degree in Latin American Studies from BYU and worked for an alternative energy start-up company.

- Successfully defeated request for TRO and preliminary injunction related to hog operations in Beaver County, Utah. Phibro Biodigester, LLC v. Murphy-Brown, LLC, No. 4:22-CV-00050-RJS-PK, 2022 WL 17243727 (D. Utah Nov. 23, 2022). Affirmed by the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. Phibro Biodigester v.
