Ray Quinney & Nebeker recently welcomed shareholder Michael F. Thomson to the Firm. Mr. Thomson joins RQN with extensive experience handling complex bankruptcy, receivership and workout proceedings and helping creditors protect their interests in bankruptcy cases. He serves as a Chapter 7 Panel Trustee for the District of Utah and is licensed to practice in Utah, Nevada, and Wyoming. Mr. Thomson represents creditors, distressed companies, Chapter 7 and 11 trustees, and receivers in all aspects of the workout, restructuring, and liquidation process, including litigation and appeals.
He has a number of professional accomplishments, including current service as a board member of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association, as a member of the Utah State Bar Character & Fitness Committee, and as a former Voting Council Member of the Bankruptcy Law Section of the State Bar of Nevada. He also has been included on the list of The Best Lawyers in America since 2011 and maintains an AV Preeminent rating with Martindale-Hubbell.
Mike earned his J.D. at the University of Utah in 2000, where he served as an Articles Editor on the Utah Law Review and was a Leary Scholar. Prior to joining RQN Mike was a partner at the law firm of Dorsey & Whitney LLP.
