Jamie is Co-Chair of the White Collar Defense and Government Investigations Practice Group. She has over two decades of litigation experience on both sides of the courtroom and has tried numerous federal criminal cases to jury verdict as a prosecutor and defense attorney.
Jamie is a trusted attorney who defends corporations, individuals, and financial institutions in grand jury investigations, government audits, and regulatory enforcement matters. She advises and represents corporate executives in matters involving healthcare fraud investigations, SEC enforcement actions, and False Claims Act cases.
She assists individuals and companies who have been victims of criminal conduct in seeking justice from law enforcement authorities. Because of her experience leading complex investigations, companies seek Jamie to conduct internal investigations.
Prior to joining Ray Quinney & Nebeker, Jamie spent five years serving as an Assistant United States Attorney in the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Utah. While at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, she served as the Financial Crimes Section Chief and the District of Utah’s SAR review attorney. In those roles, she investigated and prosecuted criminal offenses such as tax evasion, securities fraud, bank fraud, wire and mail fraud, money laundering, narcotics trafficking, cybercrime, and firearms offenses. Jamie successfully investigated and prosecuted over one hundred cases utilizing grand jury subpoenas, search warrants, tracking devices, international MLATs, undercover operations, forensic financial analysis, and Title III wiretaps.
Before serving in the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Jamie worked for 15 years as an Assistant Federal Public Defender, where she defended hundreds of individuals facing federal charges, including complex financial crimes cases, firearms and narcotics trafficking offenses, and violent crimes.

- Jamie has trained other AUSAs on topics including Voir Dire and Jury Selection, Trial Strategy and Negotiations, the Bank Secrecy Act, and Suspicious Activity Reports. Jamie regularly presented to local and federal law enforcement officers on federal statutes, managing complex investigations, and preparing cases for federal prosecution. She also trained AML specialists on law enforcement’s use of SARs and BSA information.
