Stephanie Hanawalt is an associate in the firm’s Natural Resources, Water, Environmental and Local Government Law and Litigation Sections. She graduated from the University of Utah, S.J. Quinney College of Law in 2022.

Prior to joining Ray Quinney & Nebeker, Stephanie worked for environmental organizations in both the non-profit and government sector. She has worked as a Law Clerk for the U.S. Department of Justice’s Environmental and Natural Resources Division, as a Legal Intern for the Natural Resources Defense Council (2021), as a Law Clerk for Advocates for the West (2021), as a Legal Extern for the U.S. Forest Service, and as a Legal Intern for the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance. In addition, Stephanie was a judicial extern to Justice Himonas on the Utah Supreme Court and a Research Fellow at the Wallace Stegner Center for Land, Resources, and the Environment.

Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys hiking, camping, road trips, cooking, climbing, pickleball, and traveling.
