RQN attorney Carol Funk was recently appointed to serve a three year term as a member of the Utah Supreme Court’s Advisory Committee on the Rules of Appellate Procedure. The Utah Supreme Court established the Advisory Committee to assist and provide advice regarding the adoption, modification, or repeal of the procedural rules governing the appellate process in Utah.
Ms. Funk serves as co-chair of the firm’s Appellate Practice and as a member of the firm’s Litigation Section. Her practice focuses on appellate litigation in state and federal courts of appeals, as well as complex litigation matters in state and federal district courts.
Ms. Funk’s appointment is a continuation of RQN lawyers’ service to the legal community and the practice of law in Utah. Paul C. Burke recently stepped down from the Appellate Rules Advisory Committee after 16 years of service. He also chaired the Committee for 5 years.
