On March 7, 2019, the Utah Supreme Court provided notice that it had adopted new rules for the certification of military legal assistance lawyers and for the admission of spouses of active military stationed in Utah.
Two years earlier, the Utah Supreme Court had appointed RQN shareholder Paul C. Burke to a special subcommittee to develop these rules. A longtime advocate for military families, Burke became a principal author of both of these proposed rules.
Burke then advocated and publicly campaigned for the adoption of these rules to support our nation’s military. For example, in 2018 Burke wrote a column in the Salt Lake Tribune titled “Utah’s Supreme Court Poised to Aid Military Families With Admission Rule.”
After the Utah Supreme Court announced its adoption of these rules, the Military Spouse JD Network issued a press release including thanks to Burke and RQN for their longtime support of our nation’s military families.
