On February 27, 2013, the members of RQ&N’s Women Lawyers Group (WLG) volunteered at the Road Home’s Community Winter Shelter in Midvale, which provides housing and other services to homeless families with children. The WLG donated and served dinner to approximately 150 individuals that evening. In addition to food and drinks, the WLG brought new coloring books and crayons for the children. It was a valuable experience for the WLG and an important community mission.

Kamie Brown, Vice-Chair of RQ&N’s Litigation Section and President-Elect of The Road Home Board of Trustees said, “We are grateful to have had the opportunity to serve together at the Community Winter Shelter – our community’s overflow shelter that provides warmth and safety to families in need. Volunteers truly hold a community together. As a group of women whose individual interests go far beyond our daily legal work and the clients we serve, we value the ability to give back to our community.”
